Health Checkups

What is a health checkup in insurance? Do all health plans offer the same features for health checkups? Are there any conditions to avail this facility? Is it available on cashless or reimbursement basis? Are investigations like MRI or CT scan covered? Are health checkups free?

Health checkups are characteristically offered by indemnity based health insurance plans.

What happens if an insured makes a claim in a family floater policy? Will other members get the health checkup benefit? Yes in most plans but some like Star Health Comprehensive policy deny such a facility? So you have to really read the fine print or ask your advisor

Health checkup facility does not cover major tests like MRI or CT scan. Health checkup facility is an add on feature to attract and reward policyholders who pay renewal premiums on time and continue with the policy.
